The iPhone/iPad app is free but ad-supported. The UI is beautiful and works flawlessly although there is no way to share multiple files at a time with other devices yet. Users can also watch and control all digital content on the display by mirroring the display screen on own devices including PCs, tablets, and smartphones. Sharing from iOS device is simple as well – it shows you a list of all your photos and videos and allows you to drag any file to your Mac or another iOS device. InstaShare 2 is an App designed for seamless wireless presentation and collaboration that allows smooth streaming of media files and 4K videos. You can also transfer multiple files at a time which makes it very convenient in certain situations. According to the developers, Instashare takes around 5 seconds to transfer a 10MB file from Mac to iOS device.
For the host of the meeting or advanced users, installing InstaShare 2 app for an enhanced screen-sharing experience is highly recommended. Users can present wirelessly using their mobile devices without installing any software. No matter how big the file, it’ll transfer as fast as your network is. InstaShare 2 is a software-based solution for multi-user collaboration. To start the transfer, approval is required on the device but that’s it. You need to ensure that the app on iOS is open at the same time so that both apps can detect each other. From the Mac app, you can transfer any type of file to the iOS device while from the mobile devices, only photos and videos available in the Photos app can be transferred due to the restrictive nature of the file system in iOS.įrom OS X, sharing files is as easy as dragging and dropping any file to the Instashare icon in the top menu bar or the dock icon. Once installed and connected to the same network, the apps easily find each other once you try to share a file whether it’s from your iPhone/iPad to Mac or vice versa or even between iOS devices.

While there is some word that the Moto Z Play will also be coming to Rogers, It doesn’t look like you can get the InstaShare Projector for free with it. InstaShare 2 is an App designed for seamless wireless presentation and collaboration that allows smooth streaming of media files and 4K videos. It has an 1,100 mAh battery which offers up to one hour of projection time until the Moto Z’s internal battery kicks in. It’s got automatic keystone and brightness adjustment, and it focuses with a little wheel next to the LED bulb. Instashare is an email-enabled browser plugin that allows you to easily share websites with your favorite people.

The projector Moto Mod snaps onto the back and adds 11mm to the total thickness of your Moto Z, Z Force (US Only) or Z Play, and it can display anything the phone displays by throwing up to a 70” screen onto any wall or ceiling. If you already find yourself in the market for a Moto Z from Rogers, you’ll be happy to know that if you pre-order a Moto Z from Rogers, you will be eligible to receive a free Moto InstaShare Projector. Regardless of where you get it, it’s still expensive considering it only works with the one smartphone. In the US it runs for $299, while in Canada it retails for 399 CAD. The Moto InstaShare projector isn’t exactly the cheapest Moto Mod accessory.
